Life brings you ..... boring

I just saw that I have not posted anything for the month of May on my blog.  Even now I am at a loss as to what to write.  I feel it is because my life is pretty level and boring.  So here are some highlights of what has happened in May.

• It was my 29th birthday.  Contrary to what my sisters think I am not 30 or even in my 30s.
• My family has the cutest babies ever.  Krew is so fun.  Cal is so crazy. Savannah is so sweet.
• I got a tattoo of a butterfly on my butt.
• I got new patio furniture for my birthday.  So cute!
• I bought a new kitchen table.
• I have started using essential oils.  I love lavender.  It is so wonderful.  I recommend using them.
• Wow can't even think of a good lie to spice up my life here.
• Threw my neck out and now visit the chiropractor.
• Finally got sparkle toes.
• Wish Glee was on every night.
• Invented something
• Ate lots of food.  Okay, I do this every day, week, month but it is what my life is.
• Just realized that I need to find a new hobby instead of food.
• Went to Laser Tag and my name was Ace Thunder.
• It snowed today.
• I have a new roommate Natalie.  Semi new because I live with her before I moved.
• Figured out I have Casey James hair.
• In love with my Roomba named Little Guy
• Little Guy is the only love in my life.
• Looking forward to Memorial Day.
• Wish I was a pirate.
• Wish I was eating a cookie right now.
• Wish I was eating a cookie with a lovely beverage right now.
• Trying to make up more lies to spice up my life but those are even boring.
• One lie I thought of .... Fell on my sidewalk.  No, I have not done this yet but only a matter of time.
• The best part of my day is waiting for my co-worker Kendra to tell me the drama in her life.
• On pins and needles in anticipation of my ward party on Thursday.  It is to welcome the graduating Seniors to our ward.  Seniors as in high school.  Kill me.
• Wish I was in Italy.
• Wish I was eating food in Italy.
• I dress like a slob and so my mom bought me new clothes this past weekend.
• Went to the temple and slept through a lot of it.  I feel really guilty.
• I relate to Liz Lemon on 30 Rock. At least she is dating Matt Damon.
• Went and saw Letters to Juliet and realized it was the best movie I had ever seen.  I have now watched it 3 times.

So very random and very weird.  Guess that is an insight into my life that is very boring.  Don't get me wrong I am very thankful that life is pretty even.  I can spice it up with things like picking a name for laser tag or getting tattoos.

Dear Glee,

I wanted to write you this letter to express how great I think your show is.  It proves me with such great joy.  It combines music, hilarity, and a great story. But tonight's episode "Home" went to a whole new dimension by adding the touching moments of life.  It made me tear up in places.  Okay, so I cried, well shed tear we will call it when Finn and his mom were talking about his father and then when in front of the whole school Mercedes addresses her insecurities.  It was beautiful, which is also the name of the song she sang. I related to her because what she said I feel/have felt before.  Also, the part where Quinn talks to Mercedes in the nurse's office.  It was great to see Quinn address body issues and put a great perspective on it.  I also felt for Kurt as he delt with his father and Finn building a relationship.  You had to feel for him as you saw the pain of not relating to his father like Finn does.  So Glee keep produce the best show on TV.

In my letter I also want to write about my love for Mr. Schuster, Finn, and Puck.  Oh my.  Their dancing and singing makes me smile and giddy.  Finn is tall and ideal, Puck when he sang Sweet Caroline I melted, and Mr. Schuster dances wow.  I love them all but I am still trying to figure out who I love the most.  This picture says it all on their hotness.

Love of My Life

So I just have to blog about the real love of my life....the New York Yankees. 

New York Yankees let me count the ways I love you:

1. 27 World Championships
2. Derek Jeter is amazing and has these plays that can't be described.
3. Marion Rivera - Mo - Best closer EVER!
4. Paul O'Neil was my favorite til he retired.  I just knew that when he was up to bat and we needed something to happen he would come through.
5. The greats are Yankees.  Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Thurman Munson, Yogi Berra, Reggie Jackson and I could go on and on.
6. C.C. Sabathia is on fire this season.
7. Mark Texiera - enough said.
8. Robinson Cano - his bat this season is looking really good.  Also, his defense has improved.
9. Jorge Posada - Just a class act.
10. Andy Pettite - Great pitcher.  He is great in closing out series and pitching in big games.
11. A.J. Burnett - Great in the 1-2-3 punch of Sabathia, Burnett, and Pettite. 

12. No other team has won a World Series with only a 3 man rotation.
13. The history of the team. 
14. The rivalry with the Red Sox.  It makes the game that much better. 
15. Up and coming pitchers.  Hughes, Chamerlain, and Robertson are all looking good.  Can't wait to see what the future brings.
16. The feel of watching a baseball game in the summer.  I know this has nothing to do with the Yankees but still a reason why I love them.
17. The Steinbrenner family.  Most would consider this a weakness.  I don't.  They spend to get a winning team.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
18. My dad instilled the love of the Yankees.  I hope to pass it down from generation to generation.  Well, if I ever get married.
19. Most everyone hates the Yankees.  Got to love it.
20. They make me feel happy. 

So I could go on and on with stats but I think 20 reasons is good. 

Life Updates....

So much has been going on that I have not been able to blog because I have been so busy.  Let me start with what is new........Ummmm......huh........well, how about.....okay........oh yeah........maybe.......Fine NOTHING.

My life is pretty constant.  I have done some fun things but nothing really big.  I went to Keys on Main on Saturday.  Kind of fun.  I see why people drink in that atmosphere.  They have to drink to get up the nerve to embarass themselves in front of strangers.  It is the only reason I can think of.  I love to people watch so it was interesting. 

Wow, I was trying to remember what I did on Friday and could not think of it.  I think I am losing my mind because I went to the Bees Opening Day of baseball.  Really how could I forget.

I need to spice up my life a little.  Any suggestions?  A stripper pole? Talking to the cat next door? Religiously following pop culture like my sister?

Celebration of a Great Year

So today I am going to do a year in review as a Celebration.  Why is April 7th the day for a year review is because it was one year ago today that I was layed off from Children's Miracle Network and I have to count my blessing.

So here is my year in review to Celebrate.

• At the end of April I finally graduated with my B.S. in accounting.  10 years (yes, it took me that long) from when I graduated high school.  I am so glad I am finally done.  Now I need to look into a Master's program.  I did not walk but later on in the summer Mom put on a Mock Walk because all her girls graduated.  It was great because all the family was there and Steve was the guest speaker.  He flipped off the audience so it was an event. 
• May 1st Mom, Dad, Sydney, Megan, and I flew to Rome, Italy for 10 days.  This is why I did not walk for graduation.  This was such a great trip.  There are so many amazing things in Italy.  The Colosseum, the ruins, the history, the gelato, and just walking down the street.  It will be a trip I always remember.  I also said a few stupid things that are now part of the family sayings "I will slap you in my face" and I think there are a few more I don't remember.  I loved the food.  The pizza is amazing.  It was so worth the trip.
• The twins Elsie and Hazel arrived at the end of May.  They are darlings.
• The summer of 2009.  I didn't work and got to relax and have fun while looking for a job.  I spent many days at the pool getting a tan.  I don't think I have ever been that dark before.  I have never been able to have a summer like that so it was really nice.  Side note: I had a feeling I was going to lose my job since about December 2008 so I was financially ready and money wasn't a huge problem.
• August 3rd I started my new job at MonaVie as a Cash Analyst.  It has been a great job and I have liked working here.  It is so different then CMN.  I have so much less stress and it has made me that much more happier.
• Cal arrived mid September.  He is so funny and cute.
• November 4th Taylor returns from his mission in Argentina.  It has been great to have him back.  He has changed so much yet he is still the same Taylor. 
• Thanksgiving we went to California as a returning home trip for Taylor.  It was so nice to leave the cold and go to someplace warmer.  One of the best thing was we spent Thanksgiving at Knott's Berry Farm.  So much fun.  I am getting old in that some of the rides were too much and I could only go on them once.  One really freaked me out because I felt like I was falling.  For dinner we went over to the hotel and they had a huge buffet.  One other funny thing is we went on the rapids ride and I ended up being the only one covered in water.  I looked like a drowned rat.  A great way to have Thanksgiving.  We also went to Disneyland California.  For the first time ever we ended up stuck on a ride.  I am just glad it was when we were about to start versus being in the middle where we would have been high up and I would have freaked having to get out and walk down.  The best ride there is the Toy Story ride/game.  So much fun.
• Christmas there really wasn't too much going on except that we played with the babies.  Also, Nick, Taylor, and Greg made us a South American feast.  The food is way heavy but very delightful.
• Another great thing that happened is President Monson came and spoke to our Sacrament.  How great is was to be in the presence of the Prophet of the Lord.  He is great.  He makes jokes and tells stories that are so pertinent to us.  The meeting went over by about an hour but I could have sat and listened to him forever.  A man truly insprired by God.  The main thing I got from listening to him is do what you are supposed to do. 
• Another great blessing in baby Krew arrivng.  He is like a little cub bear.  He is so cuddly and soft.
• So in January I started thinking that I should buy a place.  The market was down and there have been some great deals.  I kind of started the process but February I went out looking with Cathy Johnson.  I finally found the place that was meant to be.  It is a cute brand new condo in Daybreak.  The process went really fast.  I made the offer on Feb. 27th and closed on March 30th.  I was able to pick out my floor, cabinet, and the granite in the kitchen.  I moved in on April 2nd.
• Finally, another baby girl arrived in Savannah Jana (not really her middle name).  Have not seen her yet but can't wait.

So I have had many great things happen to me this year.  I thank my Heavenly Father for guiding me and helping me when at the beginning of this year I wasn' sure what it would bring.  I put my faith in him.  It is only through him that I can accomplish great things.   Heavenly Father has lead me and guided me when  I had no idea where I was going.  I never felt like he had forgotten me and I felt his love daily. 

So to celebrate this day I had Cafe Rio for dinner and watched the Yankees beat the Red Sox.  I don't know of a better night than this.

Moving Day!

I moved into my new condo today.  It is beautiful.  It was everything I hoped for.  Now I just need to get everything put away.  My family put away a lot of the stuff.  My kitchen is ready to go and my bed is set up and my furniture is all in place.  Now I just need to get my wireless intenet set up and Direct TV is coming tomorrow.  I hope they will be here in time so I can listen to conference but I doubt it. 

Now comes the fun part of buying new items.  I need bar stools, a kitchen table, and accessories.  Mom and Megan said they would help tomorrow.  I also need food since I have none. 

My first night in my own place.  How great it is.
